My heart grows old
Wearing on tiny echoes
The blankets around your waist
Brought me to admitting what’s wrong
I’m not in-between them
Providing you warmth
My eyes narrow
For many years I stared in
Watching brunette hair
And little strands
Asking me to feel their texture
How hard it was
Not to give an easy answer
My thoughts soften
They brought me here
Your gentle voice
Is a tiny bit of heaven
And left alone
Lets me hope
I’ll be hearing you
I lost my words in your smile
And on my own
I live for you
Because there’s so much beauty
Remember me
And know I love you
Just find my face again

I still come here from time to time to read your lovely words. And they never fail to remind me that there is a bit of romance out there.... hiding.
You are very talented.
