Complacency is addicting
Carol on about this and that
The end is nigh
Still you fret
A bogus melody
Without much clarity
Suspend your addiction
Seven easy steps
Turn
Look at me
Smile
Walk close
Let go of him
Hold onto me
Indulge
You've taken so much
A raceless champion
What do you win?
I see legs that need caressing
Lips that yearn a proper match
Arms wanting someone to cling onto
Lets stay up late
Because falling asleep together
Would be a lingering pleasure
Savored until the end
To see those eyes close
A gentle disappearance
The world awaiting their return
And your grip giving way
Leaving a slack embrace
Our breathing slows
Unlike recent frantic bouts
Everything is peaceful
A simile to my hands writing this..
gentle persuasion
Pick and choose my words
Just don't leave out
The part where I say
Well just all those things
That would get you to stay
-----------------------------------
A gentle curiosity
Sparks your sly grin
And even your insults come with
Two amber eyes
I’d love to see
Even when your not with me
Curve your head far behind
Beauty has no limits
Like your temper
Like my patience
Everything can wear thin
And how he treats you
Could be so much more
Maybe I should shut up
There’s nothing worse
Than pointless wanting
A kid in a candy shop
Wanting a sweet surprise
Naïve and unafraid
Of your kiss being my demise
An excuse to come near you
A funny story
Some ranting
You stare
Aware
Considering
Telling me you know
Thank you
I’d like to think
That I’m making this not so obvious
Then you smile
And I just know I’m
found out
--------------------------
And would you care to
Sit along the setting sun
Let our shadows do the talking
I’ll miss you
Time is running out
Lean your head on my shoulder
And we’ll act out our final words
Because silence is heartbreaking
But you always captured it best
My worthy angel
With her broken wing
---------------------
Tawny skin
Teaming with tiny flecks of sand
Catches the sunrise
Along with hazel eyes
Gleaming globes of delight
Reflects back
Wishing the wish less
They had sight
We sit delicately
With amber hair gently flowing
Along an angelic face
I still cannot place
There are rumors
Of beauty so lush
And lips this blush
That could curve into a decadent smile
I guess we’ll never know
You walk the shores
A halo gently hovering
Your sweet
Warm
Funny
Another side to disguise
Tip toeing along
On dainty feet
Always hiding a coy grin
I hear your succulent kisses
Are quite devilish
And I’m on my way
To find out
----------------
A smile worth
Dozens of roses
One for
Every time
I’ve ever wanted to kiss
Those lips
Coated in Cabernet
Those I quickly miss
May every soul know
This is for you
When indigo outlines your smile
And amber tickles your toes
Moonlight hits you gently
In way’s altogether foreign
Word starved
We haven’t talked in days
In another language
I’m slowly deciphering your skin
It’s all kinds of cryptic
I’m sure you could deceive my ears
Please don’t touch me
A soft shiver could be distracting
Sending pleasure down my spine
I’ll be back at square one
Still in love
These are confessions of a saint
Desiring a sinner
We ponder thoughts similar
I know your thinking
Of the same licks
And the same caresses
While removal of draping dresses
Runs rampant in our mind
Fantasizing
Our eyes wander to the same spot
Like snowflakes
You tease and tickle
Up and down my skin
While on top of trees
I flee the scene
Leaving
Not Fleeing
It’s all a little scary
Discovering what was
And what should
What can
And what will
This sketch outlines
A great imagination at work
Where we’re always kissing
But sometimes
In-between your sentences
Written like sweet poetry
I realize
Compromises brought us here
And blushed stained lips
That I’ve enjoyed and kissed
Still wait for coming months
When the sun angles bright
Upon our legs intertwined
Our time is nigh
Let us make love forever
I’d love to kiss red wine

Fin
My heart grows old
Wearing on tiny echoes
The blankets around your waist
Brought me to admitting what’s wrong
I’m not in-between them
Providing you warmth
My eyes narrow
For many years I stared in
Watching brunette hair
And little strands
Asking me to feel their texture
How hard it was
Not to give an easy answer
My thoughts soften
They brought me here
Your gentle voice
Is a tiny bit of heaven
And left alone
Lets me hope
I’ll be hearing you
I lost my words in your smile
And on my own
I live for you
Because there’s so much beauty
Remember me
And know I love you
Just find my face again
Wearing on tiny echoes
The blankets around your waist
Brought me to admitting what’s wrong
I’m not in-between them
Providing you warmth

link to new blog coming shortly...
So the book is performing decently. That is, considering it has little press besides here, the bank and a couple other places. I wish I could say its a resounding sucess but I'm finding theres a difference between
"yeah I'll totally pick up a copy"
and actually picking up a copy.
It's kinda funny that someone will tell me "yeah I just ordered one" and then I check and they didn't. And I'm not complaining, because I'm sure on several occasions I did the same thing. its just the principle.
now that i'm off my soapbox.
how's everyone doing.. well? I sure hope so
I feel like over the last year or so there have been many a casualty to the comments on my blog. maybe that has something to do with that it took me so long to post a picture or that I stopped commenting and started just posting a thousand poems, I'm not sure.
But

I'll make you a tape
thousands of words lay entrapped on a quarter inch line of thread. The thread smells slightly, but has a glossy outer feel ignorant of its intent. It forms a canvas, sillouhetting only the basic human instincts.
We've crawled down this path before
slowly
slithering around simple a simple yes or no
Ciggerettes fill the air like a silent venom. Skin clings to an all too familiar carpet. we have the setting. the place. the time.
Theres still a chance.
The black shine aborbs my favorite hits. takes in twelve tracks not altogether foriegn. they have similarity ; purpose. they remind me of you.
Listen. The mute silence is beautiful. A tribute, for I no longer hear your breath spread over optical cables and sent within rounded packaging. I no longer bear witness to a smile escaping onto foreign vibrations and visualized.
I cant
See
Touch
Envelop
Press
Hold
you. not right now. A torturing response not open for debate.
I won't
Tell
Allow
Let
Linger
Envision
Taste another.
Make or break. Make or break. The thread tightens nervously.
I can't wait to listen.

Overwhelmed
Let me give you a rundown of my schedule before I rant in ways only 2006 saw.
My day
Get up at 8:00
Shower
Shave (if I have time)
Leave for Danbury
I'm at apple from 11-3
I drive home
Get home by 3:30-3:45
I change, head back to Peoples
I'm there from 4:15-1 AM
I get home
I get to sleep around 3
.. my day.
can you notice the flaws?
Flaw 1:- I have no free time, my "'free" time adds up to about an hour
Flaw 2:- I'm stressed out. between making sure the book is perfect and maintaining both jobs.
Flaw 3:- NO TIME FOR THE GYM. and. well ive been eating crap. I don't feel like being an unhealthy 20-something working 70 hours a week.
As for the other issues I mainly have a problem with the fact that I am getting no sleep. And I feel like this is going to be a serious roadblock when school happens. Yeah, making 30k+ with two jobs is not a bad deal, but If I were to get my degree, twould be cool.
so.
something needs to change.
oh p.s.
BUY MY BOOK!
your going to get that until I hit 1000 copies then It can hit the store shelves .

Papercut
You smell like diamonds
Freshly cut
The product of greed
I stare like addicting
and crash into emotion
Do not make a scene
I'm a little tired
and your jagged edges
are oh so comforting
Priceless with no value
Our hips gently touch
careful not to remove the tag
my hand's make an appraisal
there's little known
of black market vendor's
but they see something special
and who am I to argue
Men prod uncomfortably
You stare with incredible distance
at the stars where we kissed
special like constellations
meaningful and infinite
Now you are given extra shine
smoothed out
packaged for resale
drifting away
They put you in the market window
prettied up
a model's definition of snappy
your lips pucker with devotion
in a taste one could never get enough
I wish you a second chance
at hiding shallow grace
lawyers are busy copyrighting your smile
and I still miss your face.

Turn the damn light off!
Captivate the darkness
Embrace it
like a calvalry of embedded nights
dischord reigns trimuphant
on this bed of thorns
you shall embark
see who bleeds
Rapture turns in fear
grab it
there can be no allowance
for the weak
the deafening dissonance
clings onto you
swallowing key parts first
ignorance is no longer
to understand
is to be human
be human
raise the tattered flag
squeeze the fist hard enough
it will strengthen
Eyes swallow the last remaining ounce
your sanity suffers no more
searing
scream out loud
tearing
bathe in it
blistering
burns will heal
scarring
you will not
Question my judgement
Do you no longer?
truth gnashes like the vice
you've come to know
and on this pedestol
surrounded by falling rain
confess
it will all be over soon
A beautiful void
corrupted by jaded preferences
banging the drum incessently
choose
or just turn the lights off
I promise you
the rabbit hole hold's no prisoners
only those afraid of their own shadow
Embrace it
like a calvalry of embedded nights

on this bed of thorns

I'm just
Theres only so much claim
and I swear I'm meant for fame
reach into sand
pull out my tattered name
I'm not cut out for this
Dizzying self proclaimed
Existential wannabe
Role I've been made insane
How can I keep up
With whispering jest's
buried deep in space
This is fading
like a comet calculating
pass by fast without a pause
I'll just wave
I'll just wave
Expect nothing but the best
and I'm failing
Read into what im saying
like an open book without a page
search in and out for some meaning
don't know how to keep from sinking
And we're heading to the sun
melting in each other's arms
slipping down and from it all
down and from it all
Set like bombs in motion
Explosively ready for devotion
Diffuse me and fly away
Your a one verbed peace
Timely swaying
fresh thin air for the taking
I reach like mountains hit the shore
A shadow overpowering
enveloped you much too fast
A rain like soothing meant to last
You need something for protection
And I'm distancing
Slowly Distancing
Theres these overwhelming designations
Qualifying me for expectations
I'll be back like Obi Wan
Episodicly misplaced
Until then
sell what's left
I'm deaf and deft
And just not ready
I just wasn't ready
and I swear I'm meant for fame
reach into sand
pull out my tattered name

In a newly settled case
The United States Supreme Court
has awarded me with the english language
Protester's are lined up outside
making desperate attempts at looking angry
Buisnessman can't seem to land a deal
Actor's are too busy learning silent film
The world is quiet
And as I take my daily walk
I spot an elderly couple hand in hand
they smile at me
and mouth something ever so pleasant
The next day
When i held my press conference
I just stared out into the crowd
Deciding amongst other things
Nothing needs to change

Alien Ant Farm
Seemingly of disinterest
I crave the other side
Where mollecules and other small
metric measurements of note
refuse to be dramatic
When explaining why
They would point at their moon
which was, for a lack of a better term stunning
and then at a picture of your smile
They then made a sound
it reminded me of something pleasant
Years later I discovered what it meant
"what's the difference?"

Makeshift cavern's have room
Inside a wooden fortress
Newly silken skin shines
Discovering this was easy
You just smiled and said hello
Isn't it easier to confess
Thinning out small detail's
Hair drapes down under
Interweaving with desire
Never before uttered
Known for so long
Into the night we whisper
Amazing flows seamlessly
Metrically suited around your face
Fair complexion besieges logic
All or nothing becomes a fine line
Lose you
Lose so much
In my heart I know it's not worth
Never speaking to you again.. but those eye's
God give me strength
Forever I'll pine
Over and over we'll dance
Replaying in my dreams
Your beautiful
Ornately bestowed
Underneath vinyl cover's
Inside a wooden fortress
Newly silken skin shines

A man's man
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZhWwTreZs0
I think anyone who reads this blog or just has a heart should check out this video. I dont give American Idol much credit, but I will say the fact that they let this man perform raises how much respect I give them by quite a bit.
Brief Backstory. This man's name is Sherman Pore. He was married to his wife for 20 years, during which time Sherman would call and seronade her every day. Sadly, his wife contracted cancer and was hospitalized. Sherman wanted to go on American Idol to perform for her, but the age limit is currently 28 on the show. They drew up a petition, but two days before the rehearsal, she passed on. He decided to do it anyway, and this is his two minutes forty four second's of fame. And It's by far the most touching video I've ever seen. If not for the performance, if not for the reaction, then for the last three second's of the video.

Introduction
People do not smile enough.
I noticed around my town. There is a severe lack of happiness going on and it needs to be stopped. They drone on doing what they need to do, acting how they feel they should act, taking care of business and not taking a moment to stray from their schedule.
But isn’t that what life is about? Taking moments. How in fact did these people wind up in these schedule’s if it wasn’t for a few random events that brought them to their marriage, or their job, or anything else that’s come to them. Why do we feel the need to stop. Life is and always will be random.
I write because it makes sense. Because it makes people happy. Because it makes me happy. I’ve written about people who don’t even know I have, and then I’ve written about those who look forward to seeing my next project because there’s a strong chance it is about them. I write because it’s my artwork. I think everyone should have a poem written about them. To be put such a unique perspective is above all else, priceless. It mean’s you’ve done your duty as a human being. It mean’s you’ve inspired someone. One hundred years from now, no one is going to remember your day job, or why you list reasons not to enter relationship’s, or even that your picky and hate turkey. The only pieces of time that are unbreakable lie in the arts. There’s a reason we study mythology. Because it’s the only personal aspect of those before us we can analyze.
I write because I’ve been fortunate enough to observe beauty in and around the people close to me. I write because it stir’s others. Because it causes spontaneous reactions. Because it’s an exacter science than physic’s. Because it’s a long winded excuse to keep dreaming. I write because there’s always the potential to create, and to go through this process to make someone smile, or happy, is infinitely worth it every time I write. Ask me In person. I’ll tell you.
I write because.
Enjoy.

Rules for submitting: All you need to do is submit a song on here, that at one time or another has given you that giddy feeling. There are no other requirements. Even if the song has cynical overtones to it, if it does it for you, then post it.
The goal eventually is 1000 songs. Once a year I update this with whatever new tracks we can find.
previous contributions from : Ti,Megan, Luisa, Both Stephanies, Verity,Brittany. Mallory, Amanda, and of course Mindy.

State of the Simon
I remember a year ago, around this time, my favorite comment was given to me. It came from someone anonymous, which is fitting in more ways than one. It read maybe four lines. explaining to me that if I had recited one of my poems to her she would kiss me endlessly. I dont know the exact quote and even though im pretty sure I could find it, it really isnt one of those things I want to be exact. What I remember is feeling amazing for causing that kind of emotion. I miss stirring something inside people. It used to be I had so many tell me I ressurected their faith in men or helped them in some way, and now. its creative silence. A blackout if you will.
I still write like crazy, and with the book coming out soon, I feel like I now have the potential to reach a lot more people than I originally did. Maybe cause some more of that temporary buzz I used to. I cant complain with the thank you e-mails or the number of people that have contacted me. But If you read this blog from time to time, throw a comment on here or there. Throw some criticism, thank me, disagree with me, whatever. Because you might remember me for some time, but i'd like to remember you.
"Pure beauty. I love the olve line, very clever. Even though I am in a relationship, if you recited this to me, I would melt, and want to make love to you, not just sex. You have a very dangerous weapon there."
Okay so ive done some thinking about why there has been a sharp drop in comments.
I dont write my opinion anymore!
its all poetry. from top to bottom. and not like thats a bad thing
but damnit we need some opinions!
and the first thing im doing , is updating the 'awww'
remember that? anyone? the like 400 -some odd list of songs that were .well they made you go aww.
time to redo a classic! ill try to hit the 500 mark

Yup
It's like a reigning melody
or a four star noveled tragedy
your accent whispers hauntingly
come here and hold onto me
we'll share the things we did forsee
did you know I still do care
while distant mountains sit and stare
I miss your blonde brown canvas hair
I have not seen
When it comes to you I am for broke
my selective wit froze as you spoke
I never thought this was a joke
and to your bed I did not wake
for reasons known to be mistakes
I wish I was yours to take
make this future not a mess
give me your hands to caress
this comet falling is a stress
but to your mouth I found duress
like robin hood's to a nest
I braved the storm headed west
You lived so close on a hill
my heart ignored this bitter pill
I loved you more I love you still
make me prove I can I will
whyd you have to leave
or a four star noveled tragedy
your accent whispers hauntingly
come here and hold onto me
we'll share the things we did forsee
did you know I still do care
while distant mountains sit and stare
I miss your blonde brown canvas hair
I have not seen
When it comes to you I am for broke

Some poem I did redone.
Quickly etching your skin
Ashen eyes draw a map
of your rosy cheeks
I was foolish
But can you blame me
Your lips taste so vengeful
And I’m alone tonight
Words carry easy
Like mountains with no destination
The weight in the world
Lies in your tongue
Forget the past
Time is so abusing
End this silly drought
Come within reach
I gave into riddles
That fooled me
Just let yourself like me
Unlock What I seek
Light the forgotten spark
We’re all out of excuses
Forget what they say
Let taste cover your skin
Breathe deep and dive in
Drag me down below
I’m yours to use
Ashen eyes draw a map
of your rosy cheeks
I was foolish
But can you blame me
Your lips taste so vengeful
And I’m alone tonight
Words carry easy
Like mountains with no destination
The weight in the world
Lies in your tongue
Forget the past
Time is so abusing
End this silly drought
Come within reach
I gave into riddles
That fooled me
Just let yourself like me
Unlock What I seek
Light the forgotten spark
We’re all out of excuses
Forget what they say
Let taste cover your skin
Breathe deep and dive in
Drag me down below
I’m yours to use

Skates (redone from 2006)
Don’t you ever wonder what’s out there
I don’t.
Not since I met you
With your framed glasses
With your blonde brown hair
Dangling as you twirled around
Like a ballerina with some skates
Save a strand for me
Just one please
I’m afraid I’m still addicted
Because your laugh
So gorgeous
And so rare
Repeats gleefully
Inside my head
It was hard knowing
And I had not a clue what to say
My pen has more answers
Than these tattered lips
So read some more
Just a little please
We met long ago
Within a nameless party
With faceless attendants
Only you stood out
Flying around seamlessly
I never caught you then
And yet we spoke
I suppose its okay
Because the way you snort
Always made me smile
I was a sucker you know
Such a sucker
Just for you
I’m glad you found the ropes
How to drive in style
Just don’t let the high speeds
Rip away those gorgeous wings
We all have our flaws
But I never meant to let you go
Your lips still make me speechless
In a silent memory
I was a lot better at this
When we were just beautiful dreams
My mistakes made it real
I always said
I’d apologize if I fucked up
Or one day lost touch
We all have misguided dreams
Once again, forgive me please
It was just all so new to me
When I saw your gorgeous smile in 3-D
Enjoy what you can
While you can
That’s the answer
I’d like to think
I did
But knowing
Is so unfulfilling
When I can draw out
What I remember
To keep the rest
My own mirage
You struck deep
I’m sorry
Without warning
This is so important
Thoughtlessly relentless
I miss you
I know it’s easy to forget
Just read it once
And fly away again
Just once
And you can fly away.
I don’t.
Not since I met you
With your framed glasses
With your blonde brown hair
Dangling as you twirled around
Like a ballerina with some skates
Save a strand for me
Just one please
I’m afraid I’m still addicted
Because your laugh
So gorgeous
And so rare
Repeats gleefully

How to drive in style
Just don’t let the high speeds
Rip away those gorgeous wings
We all have our flaws
But I never meant to let you go
Your lips still make me speechless
In a silent memory
I was a lot better at this
When we were just beautiful dreams
My mistakes made it real
I always said
I’d apologize if I fucked up
Or one day lost touch
We all have misguided dreams
Once again, forgive me please
It was just all so new to me
When I saw your gorgeous smile in 3-D
Enjoy what you can
While you can
That’s the answer
I’d like to think
I did
But knowing
Is so unfulfilling
When I can draw out
What I remember
To keep the rest
My own mirage
You struck deep
I’m sorry
Without warning
This is so important
Thoughtlessly relentless
I miss you
I know it’s easy to forget
Just read it once
And fly away again
Just once
And you can fly away.

Plastic T-shirts Eliminate Chaffing
Designed for convenience
Brunette hair sways down
The gentle slope
Of a gentler neck
I love dearly
Like piano strings
To the moonlight sonata
Your skin curves
In a bit of a shadow
And Im left
With blueprints
To a perfect face
Can I tell you now
Should I tell you now
We are so close together
But seven feet
Is too far apart
Would you
Be a good teacher
Could you bring me there
Could you bring me there
Your voice soothes
In kind of a whisper
and carries
right to my ear
please sing
so I can just hear it
We’ll be close then
Oh we’ll be so close then
Could you
Let me just say it
Take my time
let you not fear it
Come close
Be my own sunlight
I’ll wait for you
Oh yes
I’ll wait for you
Brunette hair sways down
The gentle slope
Of a gentler neck
I love dearly
Like piano strings
To the moonlight sonata
Your skin curves
In a bit of a shadow

Snakes and Ladders: Adults Only
Click Tap Click Tat
Do you hear this
The keyoard
feverishly working
trying to get its point across
backspace backspace
Indecisions invisible
all you see
is a calm before the storm
and a smiley
It's a bunch of questions
answered long ago
in the back of my head
written down in chalk
Click Tap Click Tat
there it goes again
you message back
square one claims its bounty
backspace backspace
alphanumeric be damned
theres no way
all I need is thirteen keystrokes
so far apart
inches can run for miles
and in this one man show
theres no time to race
1600X1100
A Crystal Clear mockery
so detailed It's almost if
I could control what's being said
Tally up the vowels
I believe we have a winner
and if not
at least we know
its not E and O
Do you hear this
The keyoard
feverishly working
trying to get its point across
backspace backspace
Indecisions invisible

To be clean again
Clean washed skin doesn't age
All the sensitive particles
bombarding us
don't care for preservation
it's a shame too
because im running on empty
I dont care for magazines
they are just excuses
And living in a box doesnt seem so bad
when it's all the space you need
Maybe I'd stop to thank the sky
if it wasn't stretched too thin
theres only so many dreams
to put in one place
Maybe I could stop
avoiding the obvious
if I stopped to say
thank you for being there
I'm absolutely sarcastic
and crazy for you
Oh yes I'm absolutely sarcastic
and I'm crazy for you
All the sensitive particles
bombarding us
don't care for preservation
it's a shame too
because im running on empty
I dont care for magazines
they are just excuses
And living in a box doesnt seem so bad

Snuggles the bear approves this message
The view from underneath a cloud
Is beautiful
You should try it sometime
I do
Everything seems to flow in unison
And I'm left wondering
What could be left to see
Touching the ground takes skill
Falling gently for hours
Picking a perfect spot
It’s all natural science
Landing next to another
Frigid air holds no surprises
You’ve been warned
As I watch her
Lazily smiling next to me
I can see what you love
It’s hard not to
Her eyes sparkle
With a twilight
Reminding me of home
What an oddity
How you act around her
There’s a shuffle to your step
Words pop out of nowhere
Don’t be nervous
Second chances are like storms
They come and they go
And your always left
With a gentle reminder
Of what was
I’ll be gone soon
What will you do
Without imprinted steps
To trace her path
We have a saying
Melting with another
Is better than staying here alone
You should try it sometime
Slowly fading
One last look
Her lips mix with yours
Heated gasps dissipate
From long drawn out sigh’s
I’m glad you took my advice
I guess this is goodbye
The view from underneath a cloud
Is beautiful
You both flow in unison
And im no longer wondering
What could be left to see
Is beautiful
You should try it sometime
I do
Everything seems to flow in unison
And I'm left wondering
What could be left to see
Touching the ground takes skill
Falling gently for hours

When lyrics are better than what I could write
How do you feel? That is the question
But I forget.. you dont expect an easy answer
When something like a soul becomes
Initialized and folded up like paper dolls and little notes
You cant expect a bit of hope
And while your outside looking in
Describing what you see
Remember what your staring at is me
Causei m looking at you through the glass
Dont know how much time has passed
All I know is that it feels like forever
When no one ever tells you that forever
feels like home, sitting alone all inside your head
But I forget.. you dont expect an easy answer
When something like a soul becomes
Initialized and folded up like paper dolls and little notes
You cant expect a bit of hope
And while your outside looking in
Describing what you see
Remember what your staring at is me
Causei m looking at you through the glass
Dont know how much time has passed
All I know is that it feels like forever
When no one ever tells you that forever
feels like home, sitting alone all inside your head

Granted, I just got a camera phone and I'm still trying to figure out a way to get a good picture of myself. that said
Me post shower trying to figure out said phone
more pictures on the way.
